4. Booking Rides, Fares & Payment Terms
Fare Estimates & Final Fares: When you request a ride or delivery, the Passenger App displays an upfront fare estimate or applies a base fare plus distance (per kilometer) and duration (per minute) rate. Final fares may adjust if you change your destination, request intermediate stops, take a materially longer route, or incur waiting time charges.
Surge / Dynamic Pricing: During periods of high demand, adverse weather, or limited driver availability, dynamic multipliers may apply. Any applicable rates are communicated in the App before you confirm your booking.
Payment Obligation: Upon completion of a ride or delivery, you agree to pay the full fare displayed in the Driver/Passenger App in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) via Cash, direct electronic transfer to the Driver (e.g., Telebirr, CBE Birr), in-app Wallet balance, or integrated payment gateways.
Cancellations & No-Show Fees: You may cancel a ride request free of charge before a Driver has traveled a substantial distance toward your pickup point. If you cancel after the grace period or fail to appear at the pickup location within the designated waiting window, Nisr Ride reserves the right to charge a Cancellation / No-Show Fee or restrict your account privileges.
Promo Codes & Wallet Credits: Promotional discounts, referral bonuses, and loyalty rewards have no cash value, are non-transferable, may not be redeemed for cash, and may be revoked at any time if we detect duplicate accounts, self-referrals, or fraudulent activity.
6. Package & Courier Delivery Rules (Nisr Delivery)
If you use Nisr Ride to send packages, documents, food, or goods:
Prohibited Items: You strictly warrant that your package does not contain cash, negotiable instruments, precious jewelry/gold, firearms, ammunition, illegal drugs, contraband, flammable/hazardous chemicals, live animals, human remains, or any item prohibited under Ethiopian law.
Packaging & Inspection: You are solely responsible for securely packaging items to withstand normal road transport. Drivers reserve the right to visually inspect open packages or refuse any parcel that appears suspicious, overweight, improperly packaged, or unlawful.
Undeliverable Packages: If the recipient is unreachable at the drop-off location after a reasonable waiting period, the Driver will contact you to return the item at your expense (return trip fare applies).
Limitation on Parcel Loss/Damage: Unless you have purchased supplemental cargo insurance (if offered), the maximum liability of the Driver or Nisr Ride for lost or damaged parcels during transit shall not exceed the delivery fee paid for that specific order or 1,000 ETB, whichever is lower.
